Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip

Updated: Apr 26

A creamy, tangy twist to buffalo chicken! Definitely a party favorite! Best served with crispy tortilla chips and celery.

NOTES FOR THIS RECIPE

  • Cooking Method: I like to use crockpots because they are easy to use and allow you to step away with no worries while cooking. But you can make this in the oven too! Preheat to 375F and be sure to use a slightly deep baking dish. Add all of the same ingredients as instructed below and cook for about 20 minutes until its bubbly and slightly brown on top.

  • Chicken: Shredded chicken is used here. I wrapped lightly oiled chicken breasts in foil then placed them in the oven for about 35 minutes at 400F. The chicken is guaranteed to be tender and extremely easy to shred. You can also pick up shredded chicken or a cooked whole chicken from a local grocery store.

  • Ranch: If you are trying to cut back on calories but love ranch, use ranch seasoning instead of the dressing. The seasoning has far less calories and will still give you that bold ranch flavor. But if you really want the dressing or that is all you have, add in 1-2 tablespoons to replace the seasoning.

  • Cream Cheese: Cream cheese can be partially and fully substituted with the following ingredients using equal parts:

    • Sour cream

    • Greek yogurt

    • Soft tofu
